How to take Care of your aging Parents

Ok, this is one of the most difficult topic to write on. As it happens with old age, parents starts heavily depending on your for there needs and with your own personal problems + office work, sometimes it can take heavy toll on you mentally. Anyway here are few tips on How you can take care of your aging parents -
1. Attach yourself emotionally with you parents. Feel his happiness and try to feel their pain. Of course every one is emotionally attached with their parents, but as we grow and start taking responsibilities a situation may arise where you have to deal with patients and care. Don't try to give so many advise to your parents, it hurts them. If you feel they need some advise, find some one of their age to give them the advice. Never get angry on them rather encourage them and let them feel you really care for them.

2. There could be situation where you will realize some differences in opinion, habits, likes and dislikes between you and your parents. This is due to the generation gap between you and your parents; you have to learn and respect this generation gap and these differences. You may feel angry some time due to such differences, but you should not get tempered with them, rather come out of the room, be calm and try to understand their points. You ill be able to manage these differences easily.
3. Spent some quality time with your parents every day and share some good jokes and laugh together. This will make your parents happy as well as this will help you to stay away from stress. You have to spare some time for them out of your daily and busy schedule. You can take them on morning walk or evening walk, talk with them, listen what he have to say and enjoy.
4. Let your child mix with your parents. There is always a special bond between the aging parents and their grand children. Let them share and enjoy together. Aging parents always like to play with their grand sons and this makes them feel as a proud grand papa.
5. Take special care of their diets. Take them for routine check-ups as advised by your family physician. Make sure they are going to walk and doing some free hand exercise. Physical exercise is really required and helps them stay fit and a healthy body is all it takes to leave a cheerful life. Physical as well as the mental health is very important for your aging parents (in fact for everyone). Let them stay away from stress and depression that is mostly caused in old age. If you notice any behavior change, talk with them and let them feel you really care for them.
